Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV): “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Many believers know the Word of God, but not all experience the life that is in it. The Bible is not just a book of history, principles, or moral teachings—it carries the very life of God. And it is that life that brings transformation and results.
Jesus said in John 6:63, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” The Word is not just information; it is a living, powerful force. When you engage with the Word, you are not just reading—you are receiving life itself.
But how do you connect to this life? It is not enough to simply hear or memorize Scripture. Our theme scripture says these words are life to those who find them—and the Hebrew word for “find” here is matsa, which means to encounter. This means there is a deeper level of interaction with the Word that goes beyond reading—it is a personal revelation, an experience with the living God through His Word.
Many read the Word casually, but few seek to connect to the life in it.
The greatest way to connect to the life in the Word is firstly to study Jesus. He was the Word made flesh so that through His example, we may understand what it means to live life in its fullness. Examine His divine consciousness and attitude towards life. As you do this, the life in the Word will begin to manifest—bringing healing, wisdom, strength, and breakthrough.
